Filler injections
What is filler?
Filler is a viscous gel-like substance used to fill spaces under the skin for two purposes:
- Eliminate wrinkles and scars.
- For the purpose of inflation and enlargement.
Types of fillers:
Permanent filler:
- It consists of microparticles of polymethacrylate, polyalkalidium particles, and silicone oil.
- Allergy: An allergy test must be performed at least four weeks before the injection, to detect many allergic cases.
- The duration of the result is long, more than a year.
- Injection techniques: threading and mapping, both of which require a highly skilled physician.
- Filler removal: It requires surgery to remove it.
- Features: Long lasting results compared to the cost
- Disadvantages: Difficulty in modifying the procedure if dissatisfied with the result.
Temporary filler:
- It consists of hyaluronic acid, collagen, and polylactic acid in concentrations that vary between manufacturing companies.
- Allergy: We notice an allergy to the type of filler made from collagen extracted from cows.
- Duration of results: Lasts for no more than a year, but requires a skilled doctor to ensure the best results.
- Injection technique: Injection techniques are much simpler because the results can be easily modified by increasing or decreasing the volume.
- Filler removal: by injecting filler-dissolving enzymes.
Features:
- Ease of ensuring results due to the ease of the procedure
- Short period for repeating the procedure if the results are not satisfactory.
- Low financial cost.
- The rest period is short or non-existent.
Disadvantages:
- It needs to be re-injected every few months.
- The results do not last long.
Filler injection sites:
Madam, fillers are injected into several places, but you must choose a doctor with extensive experience in this field to inject the appropriate method and quantity to hide, highlight, or fill the desired area.
- Increased lip fullness, or change in their shape.
- Lift and/or fill the cheeks.
- Treatment of scars and acne.
- Hide wrinkles and signs of aging from the face.
- Filling the area around the lips changes the aesthetic appearance of the area, highlighting the chin or hiding age lines.
- Replenishing the forehead and eyebrow area to improve aesthetic appearance or hide age lines.
- For a radiant, even-toned skin. Eliminate dark circles under the eyes. Increase the fullness of the area under the eyes for a more youthful eye shape.
My advice to every woman is not to rush in choosing a doctor. Choosing a doctor is a key factor in achieving the desired results from filler injections. The doctor’s skill and experience are among the most important criteria for achieving the best results.
