The procedure is performed under local anesthesia by making an incision in the dark area surrounding the nipple and separating the fibrous bands that tighten the nipple and secure it under the lower section. It takes a week to heal and no scarring remains. The procedure takes from 30 to 45 minutes.
Degrees of inverted nipple:
Mild: In this case, no surgical intervention is required, as the first breastfeeding helps the nipple to protrude.
